Frequently Asked Questions

What are the donations used for?

The donations will be used to help Disabled American Veterans become self sufficient.  This is typically done by setting up a business for the disabled veteran that is compatible with and capable of being run by the veteran.

Can any disabled veteran get help from the Disabled Veterans Fund?

No. The Disabled Veterans Fund came into existence to fill a need for certain disabled veterans that can't get the help they need through normal channels.  These American Veterans have a service connected disability and are rated 100% disabled.  Further, these veterans are considered unemployable.

Are my donations to the Disabled Veterans Fund tax deductible?

The Disabled Veterans Fund does not currently have tax exempt status due to the expense of incorporating and filing for tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3).  Pro bono legal assistance is being sought after to address this issue.
